FROM "LA LIGA" TO "L.A GALAXY"

It is very hard these days, being a David Beckham fan. It is even harder to move away from the original GALAXY...the galacticos to a club which is a Galaxy only by of the nomenclature, exactly when the former has stuck form and shown strength to cap what one can call, one of the greatest comeback chapionship wins in the histoy of the sport.

As i said earlier, it is hard defending David Beckham being arguably one of the best footballers, these days. Many people wite him off has an over-rated prick who can be better off as a model or an actor. This constant "over-rated player" allegation has,in my view, made beckham an under-rated player. Many of his individual perfomaces have always been pushed to the second page as the inablilty of the "boys-worth-millions" to play well as a team overshadowed it.

It seemed to many of his critics that Beckham was the inhibitant in Madrid being unable to perform better let alone win trophies season after season. Beckham's arrival did not see Madrid win any major silver. There is no denying it. But one has also to look into the fact that the madrid team was not a constant thing and it had a floating coach, floating stop and what's more floatin squad.Of which only the galaxy form the constant part.If the team is in such a disastrous state, how can you blame an individual for Madrid's failures.

Beckham is not of the calibre of Maradona,Pele,De Stefano Expecting him to play like that is foolish.Beckham does what he does best, create chances from every possible situation. He has been doing it.But the lack of reciprocation fom the other end had cost madrid the silver that the wud have been winners of.

Beckham has been an inevitable member of the Madrid squad and without him madid wud not have acheived as mush is a well hidden truth. This was evident during the months of january which saw Beckham made o sit out, when his departure became imminent, for most of the matches and suffer painstaking defeats. Now finally Becks was able to prove his worth by being one of the most vital reasons for Madrid's triumph by providing for van Nistelrooy who was a benifactor of Beckham's contibution since their days at Man Utd.

So the stage is set.He is moving to the U.S. Where he still will continue to be what he is today,David Beckham.

THE SEARCH HAS SERIOUSLY BEGUN

I am wont to spending excessive amount of time contemplating about things that are never really important but these things really really really bother me. One of those things is fighting competetion. It is natural for any sane human being to have this urge to become the best in the business that he/she takes up.I am no different. But the crux of the whole issue seems to be, in whichever road i decide to tread on, the fact that an alarmin number are also treading on the same road and they are far better than me and still very far behind the leaders deflates my initial entusiasm. That i cannot ever win is all but a fact. Could there possibly be a solution?..

The solution given by people are more or less effort-centric.They seem to say a diligent human being putting in a lot of effort in a particular field is bound to hit the top. Some say find a field in which you are the best....but finding itself is a field in which i have to compete with every individual on this earth!!..what a paradoxical situation....A philosphical quagmire....

A humorist's school of thought....

Mention the word "Reservation" to any Indian student in his college years, the first thing that would come to his mind would be, the drama that is staged by various political partys that is reflective of the igorance of the government to formulate a concrete policy therby hampering the nations progress. Although, I dont much agree with the latter part of the sentence, i came across a very interesting and humorous comment on "New avenues where reservations can be provided."

The author notes that the strongest points that act in favour for providing reservations in India are
1) Equal representation from all the stratas of society.
2) Compromise quality for equality and development of the society.

With this in mind he has an excellent sugestion to make..

He says why not implement the reservation policy on the Indian Cricket team instead of implementing them on Private sector jobs and Central Institutions. He notes that this would be expedient for the government in two ways.

1) The question of quality deterioration does not arise.
2) The people who get reserved would earn more from one match, than what they would earn in a lifetime if they go the governments way.

This rule will be best served only if you implement it on a series to series basis. The BCCI must give everyone who has applied for those reserved posts a chance to play thereby providing for their development .

The Trio, Invincibility reality...

Today , i woke up to the news that the deal between Man U and Bayern Munich for signing Owen Hargreaves is complete and that Owen will join the devils on Jul 1. Considering that i am a Man U fan, this is good news . This officially marks the end of a year long tussle between the reds, whose desperation to sign was an open secret and the germans, who for so long would not let him go at any cost. After whiling most part of the season on the injured list he could do no good to the chances of Bayern , who for the first time in a decade did not qualify for the Champions league. This neccessiated a major shuffle of the team ,which has currently taken the form of an exodus of players. As a consequence Bayern decided to dispense with Owen by getting the best deal out of the whole situation. If you except the fact that he has not put pen on paper, you can consider him as a red devil.Welcome Owen!, to what is, in my view, the greatest club in the world. I hope u ll enjoy greater successes at the Theatre of Dreams.

If you think this is all about this post, u are wrong. Man U have also agreed "in principle" a deal for Porto's Anderson and Sp.Lisbons Nani, who has been touted as the next Ronaldo. I checked the videos concerning these two on youtube. I could infer that both of them as wingers can potentially replace Giggs. There dribbling was a shade above excellent and their speed and passing will add a new dimension to United's game. Alongside Ronaldo, if they strike a good partnership, then mark my words, Man U will become incvincible. Welcome home boys!!.
I am really looking forward to see how the season is gonna pan out.

Let me examine how important and consequential are these three siginings in satisfying todays needs of Manchester United. Owen can and will be seen as a replacement for Paul Scholes. His passing is equal to, if not better than Scholes but lacks in vision as compared to the guy who he is supposed to replace. He also has this aptitude to convert defense into attack at precisely any given moment and he can also play as a defender and his pace can be very handy during counters.Having said this, he does not give that extra thing that scholes gives to the team , the ability to lurk forward and score goals. Except for the pace part,Carrick is more like hargreaves. And scholes if made to sit out will create a vaccum in todays Man U team. So they need to re invent themselves and play like they played with a keane, butt, beckham, giggs midfield.Scholes can be added for that extra aggression,if need be.

Say i become devoid of football for the next month and no transfer news reaches me. I come back to football and someone says that Man U have spent 47 million in all on transfers this summer. I d be led to beleive that there would be a striker(like ruud) worth at least 6 million.
But just by the look of things it appears no striker would feature in this years purchases and it also appears that Man Utd are content with Rooney,Saha,Solskjaer and Smith. Rooney has nowadays started playing like Keane.Giving more importance to his tackles than his finishing skills. Saha is either injured or out of form in 340 of the 365 days in an year.On other days he is fine.Smith s finishing has detiorated after his career threatening injury and Solskjaer is too old to start. In this situation Man U need a striker otherwise scoring goals could always be a problem.
So instead of buying two prodigal wingers, i d say buy a striker(Huntelaar, preferably) and a winger(Nani or Ribery). But who knows wat the great scot has in mind.Lets wait and watch!

Unemployement a thing of the past????

Bangalore
18th May, 2020.

Winfosysh Technologies, India's highest software exporter has now gone a step ahead in the recruiting process by recruiting 25000 students, who have just cleared their Higher secondary examinations."This is part of our long term strategy to make Winfosysh self-sustaining,so far as the software needs are concerned..",Mr.Thanigaivelu,the CTO of Winfosysh was quoted as saying.

Mr.Thanigaivelu,a mining Engineer who graduated from Govinda Institute of Technology,Chennai is really wary about the future of Winfosysh, should they continue with their massive recruitment process of snatching engineers by the lacks across every engineering college in India.

"The quality of engineering students is going down by the year and this strategy(the engg recruitment one) required serious brooding as it could have had a very negative impact on our acheiving of our long term goals which is securing atleast two foreign contracts a year.Hence we decided to supplement the workforce with "more" fresher brains.",he said.

This decision has resulted in many a smiling face across the households in the states of Tamil Nadu,Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, not the least because the parents now need not concern themselves with the until-now-eternal question of "which engg college to admit their wards in so that their placement into the software companies at a lesser cost will become a certainity..".

"All that is needed to get into winfosysh is that u must have an excellent academic record(35% or above in all subjects) and know the basics of how to operate a mouse and how to use a keyboard for the purpose of typing and typing only. If you have these qualities, then crackin the interview is a piece of cake!", says a newly recruited Winfosyshian.

Spurred on by this move by arch-rivals Winfosysh , Papa consultancy services is now involved with their "Anyone can become a software engineer campaign" wherin literates who know what a computer actually is are also considered for jobs that were once reserved only for Engg,Science,Arts and Litt graduates.

So is unemployement a thing of the past now???

RESULTS...

My god!! If ever there was much ado about nothing,it was wen our results got published.Since, this semester is supposed to be the last one before our placements, the profs are supposed to be tangibly lenient in giving away the grades. So wen people started saying that 'tronix everyone above 8 and stuff, the above mentioned fact i slowly started to beleive that inspite of my terrible perfomance in xams, i got above 8. And i started preparing myself by choosin wat companies to sit in and stuff, which wud depend on my CG.

But fate, is something that always renders a completely unlooked for upshot. I can quote many instances and this will increment the "many" by one. My grades hit a real low. I cud still not forget that moment, wen i stared at that evil scrap saying ur sg-7.04...my god!,what ll become of my plan?? everything will need manifest overhauling and the stage that requires me to tread on a thin rope is back to haunt me.The usual tussle with fate which i always relate to a soccer knock out match is back with a bang. For how long shud i keep fighting hese things, will i ever improve?? will i ever win a match in normal tym...wwhy is this fate always pushing me through golden goal xtra time and then onto the dreaded penalties....

This reminds of Chuck Berry s lyrics: ""C'est la vie!" say the old folks,it goes to show,"you never can tell"".

3 yrs and still counting...

Today i chanced upon a NDTV news report,in which they gave a report about the various Editors appraisal of the incumbent DPA ministers. So this as good a topic to post as anything else,i thought and here i am in front of my monitor trying to organize my random thoughts.

So here goes, my personal appraisal of the DPA and its ministers:

Three years prior to this day, i was one of the many political observers who had serious doubts on how far this alliance will go.An alliance between the political "Toms and Jerrys",they called it.There is no questioning the above fact, as an alliance between the Left and the Congress was and is not far from what was mentioned in the previous sentence. My dad, being a leftie, was fairly convinced and was pretty sure that the alliance was going to last and can and will be more efficient than the previous government. He had reason to think so, not the least because he felt ,the alliance between the capitalists and communists had saved the world from the most venumous peril that has hit the earth so far, in the form of Hitler, during WWII. Thinking the centrist way, i t would seem that my dad was inordinately harsh on the BJP by comparing them to the Nazis.Yeah! , very true.

Today my dad reminded me that his words are coming true.He said "The alliance will last and it will have a greater efficiency".Last,it will, but with greater efficiency,i have serious doubts. This is primarily because of the implementation of the 27% reservation for the OBC s in Central institutions for higher education, and the controversial SEZ policy.

VT or wud it be VeTTI

Whenever i refresh my orkut scrapbook, i always encounter a scrap which asks me as to we am i doing my VT(Vocational Training) and dat the senders VT has been nothing short of very boring. From the beginning , i ve been told by my seniors that the VT period albeit boring can be onw of the most serviceable periods in ur engg carrier.
They said:
"You can use this period for restructuring your fundamentals, prepaing for upcoing competetive xams whilst getting a handy practical experience at the company...".

I am supposed to do my VT at Bharti Airtel, india s lagest mobile servie blah! blah! from today . With some respect in mind for AirTel , i ve planned a wealth of things .Hope! my plans become succesful.

HEARTBREAK!

Yes! , i am referring to United s defeat in the hands of Chelsea in the FA cup final today.Defeats pain. And a defeat after fighting hard till the very end incurrs an incurable excruciating pain. This past season Utd have been giving a lot of this "difficult-to-digest" pills.Twice against Arsenal and once 2day to name a few.

The first half didnt have anything noteworthy, and it was textbook cup final types. The second half had chances for both sides.Especially united were able to get their rhythym rite but Essien played uniteds villain on more than one occasion.Roone, for reasons unknown couldnot get his act together when the team really needed him the most.Giggsy had a goal disallowed in my view.(and that esteryears Giggs wud hae finished the same ball in an astounding manner is a differnt issue).

The extratime was a joy to watch until the nefarious 25th min came.United were going full throttle and squandered a decent amount of chances.Little did these players know, that they ll wistfully want those moment back. When Drogba struck the goal i was still hoping for a miracle to happen. But united never looked like scoring, all their earlier charm, their aggression seemed to have evaporated. The last five mins chelsea kept it tight and did what they do best.

Taking the match as a precurso to the next season, there are se serious problems to be addressed.
1. Utd need a more influential striker.Berbatov or torres or someone lyk dat.
2.Giigsy shud be replaced.Ribery would be a good inclusion.

The rest seem to be in place for united.

Hard luck United...and until next season..

The aftermath,i thought,it would be...

After Team India s dramatic exit from the World cup 2007 , i thought the cricket craze in the egion would subside and the TV channels would give in their wont of aeonian telecasting of cricket programs .The craze did subside but theTV channels are telecasting even more cricket than even before. The usual respite ,that i get between two interminable cricket programs, also seems to have shrunk. To whichever sport channel i tune in to,i either see an Ex-Indian cricketer praising a 255 ball gavaskar century or India battering the Zimbabwean might in a 2001 series.I dispensed with all the ideas that i had for that afternoon and went about brwsing various channels.

Today while browsing thro various channels in search of some football,i deemed myself fortunate as i ploughed on a "DD Spots football update".Unable to conceal my excitement, at the prospect of watching something related to football in DD , i increased the volume. The report was supposed to update people about Korean footballer Park Ji sung s move to Manchester United and also Asier Del Horno s move to chelsea.

Park has now completed three full seasons at United and Asier Del Horno has left Chelsea for Valencia. And the update couldnt have come at a better tym, i thought and switched the TV off and went off to sleep.

Seriously, these Sport channels must have some mercy on other sport enthusiasts.

Well i think i am back...

After a not so brief hiatus,Vishwa is back to blogging ways. And this has more to do with acheiving personal ends than any other pass time "bulla" i usually give.

In the past week, i beat my own personal record for the number of books completel read in a week category.I reached a personal best of three. The reason, a short holiday and the ennui that Tata Allapey trips result in when you are all alone. The list of books that i completed included Delhi by Kushwanth Singh, Nick Mason s PINK FLOYD inside out and Goalkeepers are crazy a football stories collection collected and compiled by Brian Glanville.

Of the three books that i read last week, Delhi stuck out as my personal favourite, not the least because it had history of delhi embedded in it.Any history enthusiast in this country will always be enamored by the history of Delhi,i am no different, more so because i think i am the greatest patron of the fact that Delhi is second only to London in richness of history.

Narrating the history of Delhi from the times of Nadir Shah to his time, through the eyes of Mr.Singh a historian, a part time guide woking with the embassy,Kushwant Singh easily makes strong inroads into the mind of the history hungry reader. The "riveting wit" which invariably accompanies many Kushwant Singh's books and articles forms an integral part of this book.Alternating between fiction and fact the book also gives a unclouded account of the present day Delhiites. His account arguing for both sides of the coin on serious moot points does not leave any space for serious controversies. Especially the one which alleges a builder to be a boot licker of the English has been well executed.

A thoroughly enjoyable read if you are an history enthusiast.

UNCOMFORTABLY DOWN!!

It s been a while since i wrote somethingl. Now my hands have started typing involuntarily.
The prime reason being the amount of emotional stress that i am undergoing in this period of my lyf tym.

A string of failures in things in which i thought i am good in has taken almost 90% of self-beleif.
I pause(and to an extent hate) wonder if i am good at anything, anything at all???

This is without any hint of doubt the worst period of my lyf.I seriously do not know how to get a cure for this ailment. It is as explained because i myself ,really ,do not know why i am feeling this way.Probably because i overestimated myself or am i incapable of performing.I'll leave this to GOD....

So again the pursuit has begun to dentify wat i am good at....the usual never ending pursuit..shud i say...

DHOOM 2!

DHOOM 2
language:HINDI genre:Action/Sci-fi/comedy/yucky!!!

Sky is the limit for imagination, said a wise man, once. But may be,he cudnt forsee wat the director of Dhoom 2 had in store to disapprove that very fact as they re wrote it as
"Even Sky is not the limit for our imagination, and we ll continue imagining like this as long as there are viewers for this movie".

YASH RAJ PRODUCTIONS DHOOM 2,is the second of the Dhoom(running and catching) movies,as the name states.I was up for this movie like any other fan who loved Dhoom, and who got impressed with it s fast pace ane neat screenplay. But Dhoom 2 does not do justice to it s earlier counterpart, thanks to unbeleivable stunts, scientifically impossible gadgets-wonder if they were made for the sole purpose of mocking science, bizarre sequences and...and... and... WHAT NOT???

DHOOM 2 has Abhishek playing the cop, this tym chasing a mysterious Mr.A(Hrithik Roshan) who s areas of intrests include among many others, stealing invaluable Antiques and stuff.Abhishek s lot includes Bip Basu-god alone knows why her charecter was included -who is also an Asst commisioner and Uday Chopra(a possible replacemnt for Govinda?? and a regular inclusion in Yash raj movies, reaping the benifits of the third gens). The TOM and JERRy race that ensues is wat the movie is all about.

Other than the logic explained to narrow down the date and place of theft, the makers seem to have forgotten that the word 'logic' even excisted in the dictionary.Hrithik seems to have used up most of the yet to be or-never will be -invented gizmos, namely a skate board which has automatic locks,a liquid that can melt steel and is carriable,a magnetic machine that helps him do a spiderman in the mumbai traffic, and more importantly the rookie disguises, which even a blind person cud catch.TOOO MUCH!!!!

Abishek Bachan comes running and goes likewise with the same expressionless face while Ash easily wins the Oscar for overacting over Uday.Bipasha basu did too little in the movie to talk about. The screenplay of the movie is too childish and my god!! there is an unexpected(???!!!) twist in the tail.

Dhoom 2 can be 2 full hours of easy entertainment,if u wud not mind all the above, and if u can stay without losing ur patience wen the laws of physics are defied, defeated and humiliated b4 ur own eyes.

RATING:2 out of 10.

REPUBLIIC DAY!!!

At around 9:00 AM,i was awoken by a loud "Thud! Thud!" on my door,i woke up and i
opened and i had to inhale a barrage of censored words being hurled at me.Reason(??) i didnt
attend the republic day falg hoisting ceremony which indirectly, they say, translates into my
attitude towards my nation.

56 years earlier, i cud see a common man say to another compatriot of his that
"WE ARE A REPUBLIC NOW!!!"....Today,the no natural patriot me,woke up and went for my
breakfast only to find three kids younger than my yongest brother(who wud now be 12),serving me tea, washing the plates and cleaning the tables. So i decide to go so far as stretching English
grammar to ask,"how "republic" are we???" and "How independent is the Indian Republic??"

As i write,my younger brother wud be parading in the grounds of his school with his
white uniform with a sense of pride(abt the nation) about his nation and joy thinking about
the holiday ahead. These kids(my mess ones) ,if any, have only resentment for the nation which
has directly or indirectly made them to work in a place, where no kid of their age belongs and for no fault of theirs. If this is what the "equality" clause in our constitution was able to do
after all these years, i wud only be too happy to say, that my attitude towards the nation would
not change.

The gibber of "Do ur duty,do not expect it s fruit",makes a mockery of human values,as one
s expectations are the ambitions of others.Even the coiner of the above phrase, was expeting to
get something out of the phrase. So it s high time we started thinking about how to put India in
the path of an "ideal" republic, and strive hard in our own way to reach the EXPECTED result.

TAXI DRIVER

This is the second Scorsese movie that i am watching in as many days, the prime difference is the age.. difference between the two movies is 20!!!.20 yrs and still Scorsese s movies have been America centric.

Taxi Driver starring Robert De Niro,Judy Foster,Harvey Keitel and many others paints the picture of a very distressed, insomniac individual Travis Bickle-no points for guessing who-Robert De Niro and his dislikes for the American society-which in his words is scum and his attempts to cleanse it.

Travis is a vietnam war veteran and he takes up the job of Taxi Driver in a local taxi agency,to fight his insomnia. So he mostly drives in the nights wherein he meets the darker side of America, and is very very pissed off with the way things are going.Truly enough, the movie shows that you can learn more about people of a nation being a taxi driver than being the president of a nation.

It appears to be a part of the biography of the particular person and has many different stories running on the inside. But everything, more or less contrubuting to the hatred, that got accumulated in his mind over his years. All of them force him to become a crusader and he very nearly becomes one,as he tries rescue a 13 yr old prostitute Iris(Judy Foster).

This movie is supposed to be one of those movies which shot him(Robert De Niro) to fame,so no issues on how this fella s acting was.The screenwritong was good but it dragged really long
in some scenes and there is always this possobility that a section might always feel that the movie is boring.

Yes!It is one of those movies which will become one of the best of,or one of the worst of,depending on ur taste.A very good watch!!! i d say.

DEPARTED

"Cops or criminals,when u face a loaded gun,id say "WHAT S THE DIFFERENCE??" "..
Thus starts (yet) another Scorcese movie. To my knowledge, the only other Scorcese movie that i had seen b4 watching this movie was AVIATOR which i really liked. This movie boasts of a fabulous cast with
Jack Nicholson(my fav),Matt Damon,Leo Di Caprio and Mark Wahlberg.

The story is no different from the usual mob kills nd good guy infiltration stories. But i liked this movie for one,the dialogues-The dialogues are like the best for any mob envi movies.Who better than Jack Nicholson to deliver them, the best of dialogues??And not to mention the fact that Scorsese is one among the lot who make Leonardo look bearable in front of the screen.

Frank Castello(Jack Nicholson) is a mob boss, and he has Matt Damon working as a mole in the police department. While the good guys havee Leo Di Caprio working as a mole in Castello s den.So the rat race that ensuses, wen each try to uncover the other is all that the movie has in store for you.As i said earlier,u can find these kind of stories,in a different form, every now and then.It is not everytime, that u get to watch a movie, with Dialogues and screenplay better than this, and a more credible end.Jack again steals the show with his trademark dialogue delivery although he occupies lesser screen time.Next in the list is Mark Wahlberg, and i d put
both of those LEo and Matt in the same place.

I think i ve drained my brain up writing only this much abt the movie.

Hannah and her sisters

I ve always wanted to watch Woody Allen's movies.I never really got an oppurtunity to watch them until i saw this movie. He is supposed to be one of the most talented screenwriters that hollywood has ever produced. And he really does prove it in "Hannah and her sisters".

This 1986 oscar winner for best screenplay,is a story of ...um..Hannah and her sisters!!.
This also is a good guide if u d want to peep into the American culture and lifestyle, and relatioonships.Woody Allen has scripted this movie wonderfully well besides givung it life through his witty and meaningful dialogues.

The movie starts on the Thanksgiving day at Hannah's place. The story of the movie is simple. How Hannah indirectly helps her sisters to get a suitable partner. The screnplay is rather too complicated to explain.Elliot,Hannah s husband, falls in love with one of her sisters,Lee.But Lee lives with a reclusive artist, and she could sense that Elliot is falling for her.Meanwhile Mickey,a TV show maker(Woody Allen),the ex-Husband of Hannah,is a hypochindriac, who is really afraid of death, and has since been roaming around searching for love.Holly, another of Hannah s sisters,is fed up of facing rejections and wants to live a meaningful life.So how does Hannah solve the problem is wat the movie is about.

A completely beleivable screenplay, which i am told,is an exclusive trait of any Oscar winning movie.Only few movies will have more beleivable screenplay s than this. And Woody Allen comes to the right place at the right time, and thereby carves a niche for himself with his excellent acting ability and wonderful dialogue deliveries.Especially the one s after his disastrous date with Holly. And surprisingly enough,he was able to restrict himself by describing them as ppl-who-look-like-they re-stab-their-mother,no more.

"A Funny muscle this,the heart"
is how the movie ends. One helluva experience.

MONTY PYTHON and THE HOLY GRAIL

Never go by IMDb ratings is something that u ll learn only if u have a more or less similar experience. So it was my turn to learn a lesson. Not that the movie in question was bad but it would be way behind wat u wud expect of a movie.

So with nothing but an IMDb rating of around 8.4 and one of my friends review of the above movie i downloaded it.I always have the habit watching movies that others bring before i finish with my set of movies. So invariably i take home watever i bring from home, untouched. So this tym it wud be the other way around ii thought and i played the movie wid two of my pals-both of whom had absolutely no intention of watching it- around me.

The movie is a big wud-have been.It is the story r rather spoof of King Arthur and his Knights pursuit for the holy grail. With no historical knowledge about the original,i turned to my christian friend, who in turn gave a blank shrug and wide smile. So u can imagine the impact a movie spoof would create if u have not seen the original one.Terrible boredom and involuntary hurling of censored words from mouths. In fact we all went on to curse IMDb for this unforgivable favour, more so.

English humour as the call it,is never really funny, say many.NO way!!.If u d ask me,i d say, they are not at all funny,in the first place. On the contrary they are irritating.Since English humour formed the bed-rock of this movie i need not say why i have this why-was-this-movie-included-under-the-comedy-genre look on my face.

On the lighter note. This movie s actors have done a great job, having undergone the painstaking job of riding horses that did not exist and making sounds with coconuts.Their dialogue delivery is wonderful and the dialogues are um um makes u think if u- shud- laugh kinds.

I am tempted to call it two hours or so of non-stop non-sense,but i opt out of it as i have plans to watch the movie again and try and justify the 8.4.

BORAT from Kazhakstan!

It was a sunny afternoon on a supposed to be cold winter afternoon,i had nothing to do,and surprisingly there was power. So why waste it!!.I decided to watch a movie. But i was spoilt for choice as there were so may to choose from.So at random i decided it wud be Borat. No specific reasons except thet it was a comedy movie and moreover i heard that it is a movie where mixed revies are not at all possible because it was unscripted and there was little or nothing to ponder by way of story and scrrenplay. It was a 84 mins of joy ride, except that the humour had "A" content than any other proper main stream sex comedies.

Borat(Sacha Baron Cohen) works for the Kazak TV and he is sent all the way to USA for cultural exchange."USA for cultural exchange????" sounds rediculous.woof!!!Exchanging culture wid a nation which does not have one on its own,is an important thing to kept in mind, because this is a thing which the movie capitalised to steal the show. His experiences with the Americans in USA,unscripted,is wat the movie is all about.I donot kno if this movie was an attempt to mock the kazhak lifestyle or its American equivalent.Man but it looked more like a mockery of the American life style.

The movie scores points in almost every department that u expected it to score points and leaves some uncured stomach pain marks, incurred due to its humouros nature.Although some parts of the movie were really repulsive, like the naked tussle in the hotel room,it was a different experience which does not disappoint.Cohens poratrayal of Borat makes me wonder if he s really a Kazak. And since many scenes were shot live i donot have anything to comment on the originality of the scenes.

MY FAVOURITE PART:
I personally felt that his experience wid the niggers and the ensuing Hotel reception talk as the best part of the movie.Although there were a lot of scenes similar to this one. They didnt get registered in my mind like the earlier one did.

For the section of the society which felt cheated due to the very low running tym of the movie,i d say that they(the makers) wud have saved some ideas for the future. For them,I d say,do not worry, since it s a hollywood production,u can certainly get many of this BORAT in UK.BORAT in FRANCE kind sequels where in always the immediate sequel will be good, and the remaining one s harldly create and impact.
BRAVO!! BORAT

Fighting Cobwebs!!

This day i returned back to my college after a period of almost 1 month.Earlier experiences told me that my room will have cobwebs more than any haunted old warehouse.Expecting this i opened my room,to my surprise,Jamshedpur,my coll in particular didnt disappoint me...The cobwebs were formed in both the vertical and horizantal direction and wherever there was a gap of a little more than an inch there was a cobwen.I got my face all dusted before i could even reach my cot.Fantastic!,i thought. Thus started the two and half hour cleaning process which followed a disappointing day out for registration which had me roam around my college campus for around two hours...for no good.
The worst part abt cleaning a room or a shelf or whatever is that, that process will never seem to end and more importantly there is always something to clean. After all this u gotta clean urself which becomes an utter impossibilty if power does not stay in my college, where the temp is a shade higher than the negatives.Although i ran the risk of having a stinky sleep had to clean my room. But sometimes circumstance make you contemplate the phrase "God is Great".
This was one occasion and it was because power didnt go and i had a very comfartable bath in hot water.
IF cleaning has this hitch of always having something to clean, living a life involves always having something to solve(.the problems ...) i mean. After an enjoyable shower i came down to my room to realise that tube is not working. And thus went my day of return.Pretty eventful these first days.
I rem every first day in every semester. They always had something in them and this was no exception.Wonder wat the semester will be like..
CHEERS.
